Since 1973, this internationally renowned jazz ensemble has concertized widely, performing critically acclaimed compositions by trumpeter-composer-director Mark Harvey, while also celebrating the great jazz legends and American masters. Aardvark has made a specialty of the music of Duke Ellington, and has performed his wide-ranging catalogue in concert halls, jazz clubs, festivals, colleges and universities for almost four decades. Winner of the 2000 Independent Music Awards, the band has premiered more than 100 new works and has released 10 CDs to rave reviews around the globe, with five discs on the prestigious Leo Records label. The band is a member of the New England States Touring roster.
