Praised
for their fresh and compelling interpretations, C&B performs as a
duo, trio and quartet, giving festive concerts of jazz standards, chamber-jazz,
Latin music, and world music in venues across the Northeast. Guitarist
Larry Carsman, veteran of the legendary James Montgomery Blues Band, and
award-winning flutist Peter H. Bloom perform favorites from the Great
American Songbook including music of George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Jerome
Kern, Duke Ellington, and other master tunesmiths. Other concerts feature
Brazilian chorino, contemporary tango, bossa nova, swing, bop, and blues.
Guest artists include percussionists Royal Hartigan and Ricardo Monzon;
noted bass and keyboard player John Funkhouser; and the illustrious reedman,
Billy Novick. C&B's CD Amoroso: The Heartbeat of Brazil is
