An admired favorite on the international concert stage, Grammy-nominated mezzo-soprano D'Anna Fortunato has appeared as a soloist with Kurt Mazur and the New York Philharmonic, with Seiji Ozawa and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, with all of the other top American orchestras, and with leading opera companies including New York City Opera, Glimmerglass, and Opera San Jose. Her many repeat festival appearances include Berlin's Spectrum Concerts, the Rome Bach Festival, Vaison-la-Romaine, Marlboro, Casals, Tanglewood, Blossom, and Newport. She has recorded 40 CDs for Harmonia Mundi, SONY Classics, Koch International, London-Decca, Nonesuch, Naxos, and other labels. A regional Met Winner, Ms. Fortunato also received the Naumburg Prize and the Jacobo Peri Award. In 2006, she was a Grammy nominee in three categories including best classical vocal recording.
